Winter Time Foiling
Updated: Jan 27, 2019
Want to keep foiling when air and water temperatures drop down? Here are a few tips to keep you flying through the cold winter months!
Jan 5th 2019 - Keep your CORE warm...When the water temp hits 45 degF
1. 5/4 wetsuit (I use the O'neil Epic wetsuit, its super soft and flexible
2. Thermal rash guard (under the wetsuit) this keeps the core warm but keeping the cold air away from you, layers are best!
3. Neoprene Beanie Hat - I use the Neil Pryde FireBeenie, you can lose 40% of your body heat through your head
4. Booties - Thinnest boots I have found is the Neil Pryde Elite split toe 3mm, perfect for foilers that like to sail barefoot but need some type of coverage on those cold days.
